Powder Slush Molding Machine is a machine producing skins for automobiles
such as instrument panel by melting plastic powder in the female mold (electroformed
nickel mold).
Main features ;
・It prevents molds from cracking by distortion-free heating and cooling process using uniform temperature control.
・Uniform powdering of material into the mold can reduce average skin thickness.
・Product weight is reduced by 10% compared with oil heating method and fluidized bed method.
・Heat efficiency is improved for twice by new hot air heating system compared with conventional type.
・Compared with oil heating method or fluidized bed method, no special know-how for mold manufacturing
(electroforming mold) is required thanks to hot air heating method. Consequently complicated shape of mold is
available.

・Olefinic thermoplastic elastomer resin (TPO)
・Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer resin(TPU)
・Flexible polyvinyl chloride resin (PVC)
Energy saving;
50% cut down of running cost is achieved, by direct mold heating with hot air supplied from the hot air generator using low-cost energy ‘LPG (LNG)’ and also by shortening mold cooling time adopting uniform mold cooling method by mist shower.
LPG is the gas, that is liquefied oil gas, correctly called “Liquefied Petroleum Gas” and its major ingredient is propane(C3H8). For this reason, LPG is also called as “Propane
gas”.
LNG is the clean energy, of its major ingredient is methane gas(CH4) and the amount of emission of CO2 gas can be reduced by 31% compared with heavy oil, and approx. 20 % compared with LPG.
The uniform mold heating in short time is attained by adopting high energy efficient hot air circulation type oven, heat insulation door, and controlling the direction of hot air blow.
